X Square Robot and 58.com Launch China's First Home Cleaning Robot Service in Shenzhen
X Square Robot and 58.com have launched China's first home-cleaning robot service in Shenzhen, the companies announced via PR Newswire.
When customers book a house-cleaning service through 58.com's app, they now receive two workers: a professional cleaner and a robot developed by X Square Robot. The cleaner handles complex and judgment-driven tasks while the robot performs structured, repetitive work — wiping tables, picking up debris, tidying surfaces.
The pilot is part of a broader partnership between 58.com, which operates in over 200 Chinese cities and serves more than 45 million families with a network of over 4 million domestic workers, and X Square Robot, a company developing end-to-end embodied AI foundation models.
"Households are the most challenging environments for robots — unpredictable and full of edge cases," 58.com said in the release. "By integrating Embodied AI with the daily needs of millions, we believe if a robot can master the living room, it can handle almost any physical space."
The timing coincides with China's national push into embodied intelligence. The 2026 Government Work Report explicitly identified the sector as a key future industry to cultivate, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released new standards for humanoid robotics.
The companies said they plan to expand the service to additional Chinese cities, though no timeline was given.
