A Ukrainian heavy-lift hexacopter (six-rotor drone) hovered over contested terrain, lowered a compact four-wheeled ground robot called the ARK-1 on cables, released it, and the robot drove on toward Russian positions carrying TM-series anti-tank mines. The footage, first posted by the Russian military Telegram channel Arkhangel Spetsnaza and recirculated by Western outlets, shows a delivery method that lets an expensive air vehicle shed its payload before it reaches a threat zone, then lets a cheap ground platform finish the job.
ARK-1 is a four-wheel-drive unmanned ground vehicle built by a Ukrainian company in the Brave1 defense-technology cluster. The manufacturer says it can reach roughly 45 km/h with a low acoustic signature, and its modular payload can carry ammunition, mines, medical supplies, food, or explosive charges. In this clip it is configured for mine-laying, not the kamikaze role some earlier coverage described.
