RoboScience (机器科学) launched REX G1 on Monday, a wheeled humanoid whose 540-millimeter body fits 0.75-meter aisles. The robot lifts 10 kilograms per arm across 22 degrees of freedom (2 in the head and neck, 7 per arm, 2 at the waist, 1 lift, and 3 in the chassis), runs about four hours on a hot-swappable battery that recovers in roughly five seconds, and carries 2,070 TFLOPS of on-device compute.
The intelligence layer is an in-house embodied model called Visics, built around an object-centered VLOA (Vision-Language-Object-Action) architecture that splits high-level task planning from low-level physical control. A 360-degree stereo vision system with adaptive fill light targets low-light, deep-cabinet, and glare conditions. RoboScience positions the robot for logistics, factory, retail, and home.
The source offers no third-party benchmark, no pilot customer, no deployment count, and no price. The vendor's "new-generation embodied productivity partner" pitch is the part that still needs independent support. The "industry-first" claim, that REX G1 is the only wheeled humanoid that can both enter narrow aisles and reach a full shelf, is a company assertion, not a measured result. The relevant comparison is the AGV (automated guided vehicle) plus fixed-arm stack that warehouses already run, and no benchmark against it is provided.
