QEDMA, a software company that quiets the noise in today's quantum machines, said its QESEM error-suppression and error-mitigation software is now directly accessible across Quantinuum's high-fidelity trapped-ion systems. The integration was developed over the past year through Quantinuum's Startup Partner Program, of which QEDMA is a founding member.
QESEM, short for Quantum Error Suppression and Error Mitigation, applies characterization, transpilation, and unbiased mitigation to reduce error rates in quantum output without dramatically increasing the number of runs needed. The companies say the combined stack targets chemistry, materials science, and financial-modeling workloads.
The partners reported "measurable fidelity improvements" on initial validation runs against complex quantum simulations. They have not published a specific two-qubit gate fidelity number, error-rate reduction, or qubit count, and the results have not been peer reviewed. Independent coverage made the same point: the announcement is a software-hardware handshake and a directional result, not a step toward error correction or fault-tolerant quantum computing.
QEDMA was founded by CEO Asif Sinay alongside Dorit Aharonov, a pioneer of quantum fault-tolerance theory, and condensed-matter physicist Netanel Lindner. For now, the fidelity claims rest on the partners' own validation runs.
