The Kyiv founded, London and Luxembourg based AI startup, which flags imminent targeting of a client's staff, sites, and suppliers before a strike lands, secured €8.
Osavul, a London- and Luxembourg-based AI startup that detects hybrid threats combining cyberattacks, sabotage, spying and online manipulation, has raised an €8.5 million Series A round to expand its technology beyond the government and defence clients it currently serves.
The round was led by 33N Ventures, a European cybersecurity fund, with participation from Balnord, G+D Ventures and earlier backer 42CAP. The company has raised roughly €12 million in total to date.
Hybrid-Threat Detection Platform
Osavul was founded in Kyiv in 2022 after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It began by tracking Russian disinformation for Ukrainian security bodies and has since expanded to what it calls hybrid threats — campaigns that mix cyberattacks, sabotage, spying and online manipulation. The company's AI scans public and private data for early signs that a group is targeting a client, then maps those signs to the client's staff, sites and suppliers to show where a strike could land. Human analysts review each report, and the system can run on a client's own servers, keeping data in-house.
The company's three-layer system comprises information collection, data enrichment and agentic reasoning, according to Resilience Media. Osavul says it processes more than 1 billion data points monthly across more than 100 countries.
Enterprise Traction
Osavul's total contract value grew fourfold in 2025, according to reporting by The Next Web, StartupRise and Dev.ua, with demonstrated enterprise traction in defence industrials, energy, transport and financial services. The company works with state, defence and security organisations.
The startup plans to use the new funding to expand beyond its current government and defence focus into critical infrastructure sectors including energy, transportation and financial services.
