Texas Quantum Partners and Samara broke ground on a 16.5 acre quantum campus near Austin, with anchor tenants, the system vendor, and partners still undisclosed.
On August 18, 2026, Texas Quantum Partners and the Texas real estate developer Samara announced Occam Foundry, a 16.5-acre quantum technology campus in southeastern Travis County. Earthwork is already underway, and the first buildings have been designed, according to the joint release reported by industry trades.
The campus is intended to co-locate a working quantum system, fabrication resources, and the companies commercializing quantum sensing, networking, and timing technologies. The first phase occupies part of the 16.5 acres, with the longer-term buildout covering materials, process, prototyping, and characterization work intended to move designs from concept to working system on-site. The site sits in an advanced-manufacturing corridor roughly 15 minutes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and 25 minutes from downtown Austin.
The project aligns with the Texas Quantum Initiative, established under House Bill 4751. State Rep. Giovanni Capriglione, the bill's author, expressed support for the investment, per the announcement.
Anchor tenants, the specific working quantum system vendor, and named international research partners remain undisclosed. Samara, the developer, says it owns and operates roughly 17 million square feet of Texas land and serves more than 8,500 tenants.
