A 32GB Lexar Thor RGB DDR5-7200 kit using Chinese-made DRAM has hit a retail listing in China at 3,999 yuan (~$592), roughly the same as comparable 32GB DDR5-7200 kits from G.Skill, Corsair, and Kingston already selling in the U.S. for $585–$700. The "cheaper Chinese RAM" promise is deferred, not denied.
Lexar says the modules use "carefully selected domestically produced DRAM" but doesn't name the manufacturer. CXMT (ChangXin Memory Technologies) is the most likely candidate, a trade-press assumption Tom's Hardware repeats. A second, faster DDR5-7600 kit appears on the same compatibility list, and earlier Chinese-DRAM kits had topped out at 6000 MT/s.
Corsair has been putting CXMT into Vengeance; HP, Dell, Acer, and Asus have been qualifying CXMT DRAM; MSI and Gigabyte have added board-level support, and MSI has pushed CXMT kits to 8000 MT/s on AMD (Wccftech; TweakTown). A second DRAM supplier is now visible in the consumer channel.
The open question is when a real price spread appears. Until then, the channel is absorbing a second DRAM supplier at parity.
