One advisor with 275 IPOs on his résumé says buyers are pricing the company Anthropic could become, not the one it is today.
Neesen. Connor Group has worked on 275 IPOs including Tesla, Uber, Spotify, Lyft, Palantir and Cerebras (Yahoo Finance).
Anthropic has confidentially filed for an IPO, with Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan as lead banks. Each committed more than $1 billion to a $15 billion credit line to lock in their roles (TechTimes). The lab's last private mark was $965 billion after May's $65 billion Series H (GraniteShares). Anthropic told investors its annualized revenue run rate crossed $47 billion in early May; outside reports put it above $65 billion by late July.
The $2 trillion figure is a market expectation, not an Anthropic target. Bulls argue that listing before OpenAI gives a first-mover window and the AI total addressable market justifies a premium. Bears counter that current fundamentals and infrastructure cost do not support doubling the last private mark. Neesen says pre-IPO buyers are "pricing in where they believe the company will be, not just where it is today." That is a forward bet, not a confirmed number.
