Innolume GmbH has ordered a Veeco GEN2000 Molecular Beam Epitaxy system to expand production of gallium arsenide-based quantum dot dot lasers at its Dortmund, Germany campus. The order, announced July 21, 2026, also includes a Veeco SPECTOR Ion Beam Deposition system for in-house facet coating — the two-step process that takes a quantum dot laser from epitaxial wafer to a shippable device.
