Google has named its new London headquarters Platform 37, referencing both the King's Cross railway station and the pivotal Move 37 from DeepMind's AlphaGo match against Lee Sedol in 2016. Google DeepMind teams will move into the building this summer. The 330-metre building, designed by Thomas Heatherwick and Bjarke Ingels, is longer than London's Shard skyscraper is tall. It is Google's first wholly owned and designed building outside the United States. The ground floor will include The AI Exchange, a publicly accessible space for AI education and events. Demis Hassabis called Move 37 the beginning of the modern era in AI.
