The router sends drone eligible orders to Flytrex and reroutes weather, weight, or time failures to Nash's couriers, replacing the in house ground teams drone operators used to run.
In Dallas-Fort Worth, every Flytrex order now runs through a per-order router that picks drone or courier before dispatch. Drone-eligible drops go to Flytrex's autonomous fleet; orders that fail on weather, payload, or time constraints go to Nash's on-demand couriers. The customer sees a single delivery flow.
The integration went live on July 29 across all Flytrex sites in the metro, making Dallas the first US city where the router runs at every drone site rather than a single-store pilot. Both companies say they will replicate the integration at each new Flytrex location as the drone operator scales nationally, according to trade coverage.
The scale claims are partner-supplied. Flytrex reports more than 200,000 completed US drone deliveries to date. Nash says it serves 1,000-plus merchants across 20-plus countries. Neither figure is independently audited, and neither release addresses what triggers a clearly drone-eligible order to be sent to a courier instead.
Before the partnership, drone operators ran their own in-house ground teams to cover the weather and weight gaps. The router replaces that workaround with merchant-side software. Whether the model spreads past DFW depends on whether the routing logic holds under national order volume.
