uAvionix's FlightLine feed is now wired into Airwise's Nexus platform, with the first deployment running inside a 1,200 square mile beyond visual line of sight test range in Tulsa.
Enterprise drone-operations programs have long had to stand up their own ground-based sensor networks to see low-altitude crewed traffic. uAvionix and Airwise Solutions are now packaging that capability as a service.
uAvionix's FlightLine surveillance feed is wired directly into Airwise's enterprise drone platform and its Nexus common operating picture, the two companies said this week. Operators pull the data through a secure application programming interface, so they no longer have to deploy and maintain their own ADS-B receivers on the ground.
ADS-B, or Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast, is the cooperative transponder signal crewed aircraft broadcast on 978 MHz and 1090 MHz. FlightLine aggregates those broadcasts from uAvionix's nationwide FlightStation network and pushes them into the Airwise platform with sensor-health and data-quality telemetry attached, giving programs continuous cooperative-aircraft visibility and low-latency traffic updates.
The first deployment runs at Skyway Range, a 1,200-square-mile beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) test corridor in Tulsa, operated by Osage LLC on land tied to a broader Osage Nation investment in the range. That is a controlled site rather than open national airspace, and commercial coverage notes the partnership is positioned to support scaled BVLOS operations there.
The integration covers cooperative traffic only. It does not address non-cooperative aircraft with no transponder, the detect-and-avoid certification problem, or the FAA's framework for routine BVLOS. Those remain open.
