Analysts put the rumored foldable at $2,000–$2,500, on top of a year of price hikes across Apple's Mac, iPad, HomePod, and Apple TV lines.
Apple will hold its fall iPhone event Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. PT at Apple Park in Cupertino, the company confirmed Wednesday with press invitations. The invite, a glowing Apple logo on a light blue field with the phrase "Surprise and shine," arrives after a year of price hikes on Mac, iPad, HomePod, and Apple TV.
The headliner everyone expects but Apple has not confirmed: a book-style foldable iPhone in a passport footprint comparable to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8, priced by analysts in the $2,000–$2,500 range. If it ships Sept. 9, it would be Apple's first entry in a category Samsung has owned for six years.
That price band extends a pattern rather than setting one. Apple may also split the iPhone 18 launch, with Pro models in September and the standard model possibly deferred to early 2027, leaving the foldable room to lead. AirPods with cameras acting as visual sensors for Siri AI are also among the rumored additions.
Apple has not confirmed any product, name, or price beyond the event itself.
