Anthropic AI Chatbot Claude Hit by Second outage This Month

Anthropic AI chatbot Claude experienced elevated errors and stopped working properly for users. The outage began in the morning UK time on March 17, according to the companys status page. Both the Opus and Sonnet systems that power Claudes responses were affected. Tracking website Down Detector confirmed that a number of users had been hit by the problems around the world, though it was not a full outage. The problem appeared to be affecting free users. Anthropic offers a free tier for Claude with a limited number of questions before users must pay a monthly fee for more access. This is the second time in March that Claude has faced issues - on March 2, Anthropic posted on its status page that it was investigating elevated errors occurring with the Claude chatbot.
