The world's largest PC maker reported $26.9 billion in revenue and 176% profit growth as the data center hardware that runs AI services nearly doubled.
Lenovo, the company most readers know as the world's largest PC maker, reported what it called its strongest quarter on record. The numbers, from the company's first-quarter FY2026/27 results: group revenue of 183.4 billion yuan (US$26.9 billion), up 43% year over year, and adjusted net income of 7.3 billion yuan (US$1.1 billion), up 176%. It was the company's first quarter above the US$1 billion profit mark.
AI-related revenue reached 63.4 billion yuan (US$9.3 billion), about 35% of the group total and up 60% year over year, per a same-day Chinese-language recap of the release. Most of that flow passed through Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group, the server and data-center hardware business, which generated 57.9 billion yuan (US$8.5 billion) in revenue, nearly doubling from a year earlier. Operating margin there jumped to 9.1%.
The PC business still carried the absolute weight, with 116.4 billion yuan (US$17.1 billion) in revenue and a 27% gain. The services arm, at 19.6 billion yuan (US$2.9 billion), posted double-digit growth for a 21st straight quarter. Lenovo India separately reported 18% revenue growth on integrated AI demand.
The watch item for the next print is whether the ISG margin jump to 9.1% holds as order mix normalizes. CEO Yang Yuanqing's framing of "three historic breakthroughs" is company-narrated, and the AI server surge remains tied to broader hyperscaler capex cycles.
