Carahsoft will resell ZeroTier's post quantum networking to federal agencies on NASA's SEWP V federal buying contract; the product is still a release candidate pending a third party code audit and penetration test.
Carahsoft just added ZeroTier's post-quantum networking platform to the federal IT buying menu, on the NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) V contracts that most agencies use to acquire commercial software. The listing matters because federal IT buying is a catalog problem before it is a deployment problem: any agency that wants to evaluate the product can now order without running a new procurement.
ZeroTier, a small software-defined networking vendor, and Carahsoft, the government IT distributor that resells to most federal agencies, announced the distribution deal on August 6, 2026. The product is on SEWP V contracts NNG15SC03B and NNG15SC27B.
The threat framing the vendors invoke is "harvest now, decrypt later": adversaries record encrypted traffic today and decrypt it once a quantum computer can break it. ZeroTier Quantum pairs ML-KEM-1024, the algorithm the NSA's CNSA 2.0 suite mandates for key establishment at the top security level, with a classical ECDH P-384 handshake inside ZeroTier's own transport protocol, ZTP. ZeroTier claims the hybrid meets CNSA 2.0.
Two caveats keep this from being a deployment. ZeroTier Quantum is still in release-candidate form, with general availability pending a third-party code audit and penetration test. And a contract listing lets agencies order; it does not mean any agency has.
