BRINC, the public safety drone maker, just got Motorola Solutions — incumbent supplier of U.S. police and fire radios — to lead a new $125M round, escalating from a 2025 strategic investment.
BRINC, a public-safety drone maker, announced a $125 million financing round on July 14, 2026, with Motorola Solutions as lead investor. Index Ventures and Figma co-founder Dylan Field participated. The company says the round brings its cumulative raise to "well over a quarter billion dollars."
The bet is Motorola's, not just BRINC's. Motorola Solutions is the incumbent supplier of police and fire radios across the country. It joined as an investor in BRINC's $75 million round in April 2025 and has now escalated to lead. The press release frames the deployment target: 80,000 police and fire stations in the United States.
By the end of 2026, BRINC says it will move into a new facility "three times the size of its current factory" to expand production. The money is also slated for new products and go-to-market scaling.
What remains unknown is whether the 80,000-station plan is a procurement pipeline or a sales ambition. The release describes a target, not a contract count; adoption claims would need third-party reporting the company release does not provide.
